Engineer, Furnish & Install
Technixs
performs engineering, material supply, and installation (EF&I) services for
building out a wide variety of Central Office and Collocate facilities.
Our EF&I services personnel have been praised by many telecom and data
networking companies as one of the best and most responsive services
companies that they have ever worked with. This reputation has resulted in
repeat business opportunities from several customers. Some customers
ask for our personnel to be permanently stationed in their facilities where
the project demand exists. |
| Our
EF&I Services delivers experienced engineers and technicians who are
familiar with the design, deployment, operation, and analysis of advanced
high-speed networks. They are especially familiar with DWDM, optical
switching, SONET, ATM, packet-based switching, LAN, routing, and digital
loop carrier systems.

Depending
on the scope of the project, specialized installation crews may
complete the superstructure portion of the site buildout, then separate test
teams follow, as directed by the Project Manager, when required, to test and
turn-up the installed SONET, switch, or power plant equipment. Test reports
are forwarded to the customer and any problems that are encountered will be
instantly conveyed to the customer's site representative for prompt resolve.
The work performed under our Services portfolio is highly tailored to the
specific needs of the customer. In formulating a contract for these
services, the specific individuals performing the work are identified in
advance. The professional consultants are initially
engaged in the development of a detailed statement of work that clearly
defines the project, the project deliverables, major milestones and deadlines.
As specified in the statement of work, services
are performed on either a fixed-price, hourly or daily basis. Incidental
costs for travel and related expenses are charged separately.

On-Going Support
Once the initial route has been completed, Technixs OSP Services is prepared
to remain in the city to perform on-going engineering and construction
support of the network.
The initial
construction is only the beginning of the work. Once the backbone route is
finished, customers must be connected to it in order to generate revenue.
The work involved in connecting buildings to the network is similar to the
steps identified above, with more emphasis being placed on customer and
building-management relations.
For our CLEC customers,
Field Services has extensive experience working with building managers and
customers to identify mutually acceptable procedures for working inside
class A building in a way that will be least disruptive to the building's
existing tenants. This reduces building and tenant delays as a "last minute" disruption to the
project schedule or budget.
