All Techníxs projects have a
Project Manager as a single point of contact for the installation,
test and turn up as required. These project managers are also known
as the Project Champion in our environment as they are responsible
for driving all aspects of the successful engineering, staging,
delivery, installation and testing effort. This single contact works
closely with customer personnel to assure that schedules and status
reports are accurate and current.
Many companies today are finding that the
Project form of organization is an effective way to reduce the risks
and improve the quality of accomplishing mission critical
operations. Techníxs believes that by adhering to this concept of
project management, we can attain a high level of onsite quality
control while maintaining the information exchange that sometimes
takes place daily between the customer and Techníxs' installation
team.
The
provisioned equipment and installation materials are delivered to
and staged in customer premises, if available, and/or bonded
warehouses and subsequently delivered to site and inventoried by
Techníxs E, F&I Services team members. Techníxs has agreements with
warehousing/transportation companies which assure successful
storage, staging, and delivery of equipment for long haul routes,
collocate build outs, central office build outs, microwave
installations, and including EPA certified facilities needed for
most power installations or upgrades. Techníxs' project managers
work closely with these companies to ensure equipment is delivered
in a timely manner.
Techníxs uses Microsoft Project®
as well as other internal tools to track schedule, costs, and
resource allocations for all major projects. Regular reports can be
delivered, including Project schedules, can be sent via email or
hardcopy or be posted to the web at our secured dedicated Customer
Project sites.
